Early Life, Family, Education
George Sink’s educational journey is as diverse as his life experiences. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Western Michigan University, earned in 1964, followed by a Master’s degree in History from the same university in 1970.
Not stopping there, he acquired a Master’s degree in Business (MBA) in 1971, also from Western Michigan University. From 1971 to 1974, he pursued a law degree from Emory University in Atlanta, cementing his path to becoming an attorney.
George Sink’s roots are firmly embedded in Detroit. His father toiled in a Chrysler Corporation factory, while his mother was a schoolteacher who harbored a lifelong love for piano. Together, they raised three children, George and two younger sisters.
Married Life, Kids
George is married to Jeannette, and the couple is blessed with two children.
Their elder son, George T. Sink Jr., affectionately known as GT, is a Yale University graduate who also works alongside his father in the legal field.
Their younger son, Alex, pursues a different path as a Computer Game Designer.
He started his career journey as a teacher, instructing 7th and 8th graders in English, Geography, and History at a school in Downtown Detroit from 1965 to 1966.
Yet, his journey took an unexpected detour when he volunteered for the Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam, eventually retiring as a Captain after three years of active duty.
Upon returning from the Vietnam War, George transitioned into the realm of law and started his legal practice in 1974, marking the beginning of his remarkable journey as an attorney.
