Angel Leal’s full name is Angel Fermin Leal Jr. While he keeps his personal life private, he occasionally shares pictures of his mother on his Instagram account. In 1984, Angel graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High School and received the Miami Herald Silver Knight Award from the Speech and Debate Club. He pursued Politics and Public Affairs at the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1988. During college, he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi fraternity. He also studied abroad at the University of Kent, Canterbury, in England. In 1991, Angel obtained his Juris Doctor Degree in Law from Georgetown University, where he was involved in various legal societies.
Career
Angel began his legal career in 1993 at Armando Montalvo and Associates, later joining Mercedes Lopez-Cisneros in 1995. After almost five years, he founded his firm, Angel F Leal Jr, Esq., in March 2000. Over the years, he worked for different firms, including Florida National College and the City of Hialeah Law Department, honing his skills as an immigration lawyer.
In January 2011, Angel established the Angel F. Leal Jr P.A. law firm, hiring staff and lawyers to focus on immigration and real estate cases in Florida. He has made appearances on Spanish networks like Telemundo and is a regular on the Caso Cerrado show as the Top Immigration Lawyer, hosted by Anna Maria Polo.
In January 2016, Angel Leal earned a spot on the Super Lawyers List, a recognition received by less than 10% of Florida’s lawyers. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court and the Southern Florida District’s United States District Court.
